He spent his early years traveling with his parents, and was educated in England, the USA, and the Republic of Ireland (Eire). </font></p> <p><font face="Arial" size="2">A film buff and avid reader, he spent several years at the Architectural Association in London, England - where multiple disciplines and mixed media are a way of life.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial" size="2">He writes freelance now, in both fiction and non-fiction genres.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial" size="2">In 2005, he won the BBC World Service International Vocabulary Competition.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial" size="2">His screenplay, "First Past The Post" was among the winners of Script Frenzy 2009, the international screenwriting challenge.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial" size="2">"Xero Option", his entry for Script Frenzy 2010, was also a winner.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial" size="2">Three of his short scripts have made it beyond the printed page."GhostWriter" and "Trick" have already been filmed, while "BFF: Best Friend Forever", is currently in production.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial" size="2">Des is listed on </font><font face="Arial" size="2"><a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4625475/" target="_blank">the Internet Movie Database (IMDB)</a></font>, as a screenwriter (for "Trick").
